"Like many I am quite happy with Cape Fear BMW. The different part for me is that I have never made a purchase at the shop. I stopped in one day while driving by and enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere. I was allowed to look at the bikes and even jump on the one's I liked, check out the clothing and accessories and just enjoy being in a bike shop. If I had questions they were happily answered. No pressure or salesmanship you find in many other dealerships. Now every time I go through Wilmington I stop in. (my wife thinks I'm nuts) I almost picked up a 650GS, and am now looking at a touring bike or possibly the mid size GS due out this fall. Every trip to the shop is a joy, the folks there are great and are friendly and helpful even though I've been there a dozen times and not spent a penny! I have bought bikes from shops that act like they did me a favor by selling it to me and were hard to deal with once I signed the dotted line. This is an "old school" bike shop that is a great place to hang out, with a friendly and knowledgeable staff that is willing to help you out with whatever you need whether they sell you something or not. I'm considering several brands of touring or dual purpose bikes and will probably buy one of each in the next 1 - 2 years. The treatment I have received from this dealership will definitely be a big factor when I decide what to buy and where to buy it from, and I look forward to being a BMW owner and visiting the shop even more down the road!"

"I recently purchased a 2004 K1200GT, everything was GREAT, the entire staff went above and beyond, everything was a
promised. I changed the delivery date from Saturday to Thursday, no problem at all, they even delivered my bike to me at work! Could not have been better. Thank you, Mike"

"I was given a load of various BMW parts by a friend who got them from a flooded dealer in New Orleans. 1970 SWB frame, 1976 750 cc motor, 79 5 speed transmission, 77 front end, etc. I was pleasantly surprised to find out your parts man rides an old airhead and has been very knowledgeable finding the "missing pieces" for my rebuild.
I will be ready for a new 1200 in two years; guess who will get my business?"

"
I plan to purchase another motorcycle and have been looking at the various models at several local dealerships. One dealership has more ATVs than motorcycles while another dealer has more floor space devoted to clothing and accessories than to motorcycles and while there, I also got the feeling that unless I was checking out the more expensive models they really didn’t care if they sold me a motorcycle. Still another dealer has the sales personnel located near the entrance door on both the outside and inside that greet you and are eager to know what you are presently riding and what new model you came to purchase. When I got to the Cape Fear BMW dealership, I was in for a pleasant surprise. I was allowed to come in and casually look at the models and accessories without pressure to buy something. They were able to answer all of my technical questions on the brake system and the carburetors. It was this more relaxed and less pressure atmosphere of the sales personnel that made me take a closer look at not only the motorcycles but also the accessories and maintenance that they provide. From this first visit to this dealer, my plans are to make my purchase here.

"I am curretly in the market for a motorcycle. I have very limited riding experience, and want a motorcyle that is reliable and easy to ride. I have been looking at all brands, and have found that many of the dealerships are not concerned with what the customer's needs are, but rather whether or not they can sell them something right now. I was in Wilmington this weekend, and saw a lot of activity at the dealership there so I deceided to stop in. I walked around and looked at all the models on display. After a few minutes the manager of the store asked if he could help me. I explained my situation and he asked me what my riding level was, what type of riding was I going to do, and on and on. How refreshing to have someone truly concerned with the rider, and not the sale. I have a much better idea of the type of bike that could be right for me now, and plan on going back to test drive one of the models that I saw. "
